A couple recent projects that I’ve been having a little too much fun with.
Over the past year, between studying abroad in Budapest and working in Louisiana, I’ve been roaming to dozens of cities, from New Orleans to Sofia. I took thousands of pictures along the way of the unique architecture, graffiti, public art, and idiosyncrasies of each city. These photo collages and drawings are my attempt at capturing the feelings of wandering these cities, combining photography and ornamental design based off of their distinct geometries.
behind the veil
Beyohnd the Veil: Tapestries of Eastern Europe are collages based on my personal experiences exploring Central and Eastern European cities.
Paper Monuments is a public art and history project that seeks to lift up voices of the residents of New Orleans to speak about what kind of monument is appropriate for the city. I work to turn some of the proposals into posters to be featured on the website, on postcards, and on the streets of New Orleans through our public installations. These posters help communicate larger themes behind the proposals as well as the public proposal process as a whole.
